Good bye PPP

I am writing this post to let you know, that this blog is no longer participating the PayPerPost system. Therefore there will be no paid posts here. The message on the left will remain here for a month and then I will delete it. I will still keep some of the paid posts, because all of them I wrote not just because they were paid, but also I wanted to promote the websites I wrote about. I've written about myself in those post as well. Thus, that's all about PPP.

'Military Equipment'

There are women who like men in uniform, it brings some romanticism and charm they say. Though I am not one of those, it was interesting for me to browse through a website named 5.11 Tactical Jacket and selling as they say 'Military Equipment'. From the first look for me it did not look like military at all, rather normal cloths which people were in this country, mainly different types of men's jackets. However, I also liked one travel mug (it looks very useful, but it is only a part of a deal with jackets;)), and I was impressed by special jackets of bright colors. If my mom would wear one of those on her bike in the evening time (especially on the countryside roads) she would be visible long time before some car would aproach her. This is why, I guess, it's named Tactical Reflective Vest, and 'tactical' is the key word here. Another interesting item (the one to impress girls or women mentioned in the first line of this post) is a Police jacket, it is actually relatively cheap, so almost everybody can afford it. Basically, what I want to say: if one has some imagination how to use it or one might need it for the work (this is addressing men first of all), the collection is definitely worth looking through.

Looking for new glasses

When people discuss what is better glasses or contact lenses, I always think for myself it is worth to have both. One needs them for different situations, so it is even necessary to have both. And at the moment I am thinking which glasses to buy. Remembering that the economic crisis is around, I will definitely look for a reasonable price as well. The best way to cut off you spending is to plan in advance what you want and need to buy. In my honest opinion, the wise shopping is useful even in the situation of the financial crisis;)

Thus the goal for the moment is to buy soem nice glasses. As the Internet addicted person I've looked online and I've found out that it's possible to buy theeyeglasses for $8 for example from Zenni Optical. It is really reasonable price and I like the design as well. They also have such strong aspects as Anti Scratch Coating and Hard Case for them (this is really important as otherwise your eyeglasses can transform and it can be even harming your eyes).

My next step is to calculate the cost and decide if I will buy them. Lets see. If I choose the simplest ones, then it is $8. Plus I might add Anti reflection coating as I love computers :) Then it is for extra prices - $4.95. Ok, to find out the delivery price to Europe requires to fill in the form and check out... Hmm, maybe I could find it out before I place the order? Sometimes shipping is expensive. Well, I guess then I will get it sorted later. Thus the simple option with delivery costs for the US would be $12.95 which is quite good. As for Europe, I will let you know when I find out! Happy shopping!

To see or not to see?

Sometimes I look around and I think that I am really lucky to live in these times. There are so many things which did not exist, lets say, 50 years ago! I am speaking about Internet here, but also about contact lenses for instance! However, from time to time I still prefer to wear glasses and it is not that easy to find nice ones and cheap at the same time. Relaxation and massage

After sitting for hours in front of the computer one feels really tired, eyes, neck and generally whole body needs some exercises. And when I read information about different clever devices which help to relax, I feel really in the mood to buy them strait away! Although, I don't have all money of the world so I really have to be selective.

Garage looking like a kitchen!

You might be surprised when you see this title, but this is what I though of when I saw the website dealing with the different solutions for garages, including garage floors and different colours. It looks amazing, it's really room where one could live. I've never seen something like that before, maybe in the Holliwood movies:) All the garages I saw would have just have some cement floor with several shelves on the walls, it is rather minimalistic approach, but most of the people are like that. However, I really like the idea to make it cosy;)

Shopping mood

The Christmas is approaching slowly, althouh it's still more that one month to go, people are already in the shopping mood. I've got some gifts on the Facebook, which I will be able to open only on Christmas and I went to a Christmas market today!

Althoug it's always great to go shopping, since these days it's rather cold and wet, it's so nice to have inet and to be able to shop online! I love online shopping, all the shops are open 27 hours a day! I need few things to buy sooner or later, a new camera and a new laptop. Uff, the prices are not very low, so any discounts and coupons would be really usefull. There is a variety of places where one can find them. For example, I really like Hallmark (till the end of Nov it gives 20% off!), DELL has lots of discounts and many others, you just start searching and can not stop! :)

Fly around the world

Very often when I travel I think of the airlines and how they develop. Even 5 yeas ago, I could not dream of flying so cheap and so easy. It takes just few minutes to book a flight to any corner of the world. For example, I went to Barcelona with two different airline companies, bought both tickets online and everything worked out! Amazing!

On the other hand, it's still not very well developed in all countries of the world. Nowadays, it's really easy to book a flight let's say from the UK to any part of Europe just for 20 euros. One can even book a flight to Toronto or Montreal and then your holidays in Canada might be brilliant!

I just hope that one day it will be also easy to travel to Minsk. :)

What does the stock control do?

I was always interested in the stock exchanges, but since at my university I was told that there were no stock exchanges (rather just goods exchanges) I've lots my passion to the stocks. But, time passes and last year at the academy I had a brilliant professor, who was telling us about different issue in economics. And he made me interested again.

When I think of the stock exchanges I imagine a complicated massive of information, lots of sallers and lots of buyes. I guess for the beginners the first exercise is to start observing the trend. For example, I keep watching the price for the Google shares, they were about 60 USD in the beginning, two years ago they were 200 USD, this year more than 400 USD and the forecast is to overcome 600 USD in the next year. This is a tendency I would say!
But when you start your business and it's connected to the stock you have to be more serious and efficient. Therefore, one would need some Small Business Inventory Control Software in orger not to get lost and to be productive. It is quite obvious that one has to predict some trends in order not to loose money as well, so the systematisation of the information and the following analysis are very important, I think. Reports, graths, calculations, sales... everything should be under control. Therefore, one must have at least some simple software to be sure to keep everything in order (for those who prefer paper consumption, think of the forests you safe;)). A human can not do it alone in the modern world, too much information for a human being:) There are some gifted exceptions though, but it's rather just confirming the rule.
And one more question, what is the most important in busuness? Right, time! Especially time management and time consumptions, thanks to the engineers we have some nice software and organisers! But this is another story I might write about next time.

Pliushkin or what and where to store

I go back to my school Russian literature programme every time I decide to store something. Why? There was a here with a family name (or was it his nickname?) Pliushkin, since that year for me Pliushkin is a person who stores lots of things which he/she might once need, but actully would never use them. This is the nightmare I am trying to avoid.

Although it's not so easy to keep everything in order and nice looking if you have a small flat or even a room. As the IKEA commercials say here in Vienna - "small space needs brilliant ideas". I would agree with that. It's not only about making your space nice but also to find the place to store things. The storage solutions can be really different. Since the room is really valuable for leaving I would store the things at the moment I don't need in a different place, for example in a garage or in a stockroom (esp. appropriate for our "slavic culture" to conserve and marinade:). The list could be really long, from my old toys which I hope to show to my grandchildren to my notes from the college.

On the other hand I am happy I don't have to many things right now, so I can "think about it tomorrow". The nice weekend is ahead!

Spending less but living at large

This summer I have to face the reality that I am a post-graduate student on vacation, without full-time job and consequently without permanent income. Well, in this situation it is quite wise to start thinking what is the best way to spend my savings which are not huge (at least I have some:))

Just in time I came across this article:101 ways to trim your budget. It's fun, creative and quite practical. Sure, first, you have to calculate and plan, what you have and what you need. So, you create some limits for your budget. Here it is really important to be realistic, or you will be in trouble really soon if you underestimate your wants and overestimate your finances. And then the fun part starts, you try to stick to the plan and to be creative with shopping and savings on different things. Especially I liked one when one is adviced to wait untill the washing mashine is full and only then to wash, and even better it is advised to wash in cold water (although don't you have to put more washing substances?).

Wow, I really enjoyed this article. One of the advices I've just implemented. I've redecorated one of the rooms using the wallpapers which were waiting for ages to be used and now they really look fun. Definitely, have a look at this article!

Bringing innovation to education

Today I spent my day with my God son, he is only 5 years old, and as every child he is really keen to find out new things. But sometimes it is difficult to motivate him to learn something that is less exciting than playing games:) I think sometimes it is wise to use the methods brought to us by modern world. If you were a spy...

Sometimes you watch a movie about 007 or read the news about Litvinenko death and you think. What those people do as the spies? why do they do it? and how do they do it?

Well, let's assume one is a spy. What should be the best techniques to avoid any risks of being discovered? I guess, first it is even quite complicated for a spy to remember himself which identity is the true one. Since playing his role well, he de facto lives in a different reality and has to accept it as his primary identity. By anyway, going back to the topic of successfully fulfilling the mission. There are must be several rules, like avoiding contacts with people you know from your 'real life'; thinking about the reasonable explanations to the questions people might ask you (usually the simplest answers work the best); trying to get in contact with people you need through people they know and trust. Hmm, it seems not to be easy. And it is rather over surrealistic for me. On the other hand when you start thinking like that, you can come up with an idea, that all people around are spies and it's then paranoia. :D

Games forgotten long time ago are back!

I remember my childhood, when I was about 3-5 years old, I loved drawing first.
