IT in our everyday life
Today I was thinking about information technologies. Sometimes we just accept what we have and we don't really worry about all the ways some particular thechnologie came through to reach us.
Personally, I get most of the information I need online: news, facts, references and reviews, information for my research paper... So only when one looses for a moment our possibility to use this modern technology (Internet here), one realises how dependent he/she is and how important it is.
Nowadays, many people speak about mobility, independence, fast way of leaving. And of course the producers of "the modern technologies" try to adapt. Only 7 years ago I could not imagine how laptop looks like. Only 2 years ago I've started profiting from WiFi. And what now? Now I am so used to it that I start to panic when for some reason connection disappears. Wireless Networking took an inmortant place in my life: at work, at university, even sitting in a cafe... For example, some my friends in the academy from time to time have to seat on the corridor in order to use their laptops being connected to the WiFi network. Actually, I don't know the reason of those troubles, but it could be some effects of interference from other devices (there are special spectrum analyzer tools to check it). So they really feel on their own skin how it feels to be left without a connection.
Maybe it is a bit ridiculous, but still the efficiency of my work depends on the working conditions and the efficiency of Internet connection for examle. And I would not be able to write these lines if our Network would stop working. So, guys, have a fast and stable connection!

I am still an optimist!
Despite all negative news I read everyday I always find some which are rather inspiring. These days there were two:) First, EC finally got an answer from our governement (EC sent its request in 2005), EC is allowed to open office and official representation in Belarus! That's cool, but as my friend said, let's see how long it will take. Anyway, it's a progress!
Next a chief assistent of the state secretary of the USA David Kramer (I am not sure about the spelling) visited Belarus and even met with our officials. It's funny that he was asked to meet with Piatkevich, who is very strong woman and our president advicer. Actually, I am not 100% sure that it's a good sign, but at least some changes!
Therefore, let's keep being optimistic and enjoy the spring weather;)

Belisi style online!
Few months ago, I wrote about this designer. Belisi is a designer (almost wrote web-designer! I have to be careful, but it's a result of my Inet addiction:). He is for the nice look using interesting accessories.
Recently, Belisi decided to creat a new space for his designs (this time I could write web as it's online!). He created a profile on Stylehive. Therefore now you can find info about his designs and about designers HE likes. It's quite interesting to see.
As he believes accessories provide the final touch to any cloth (especially if you do it in a right way). So you final look will be really impressive. His Brand was founded to bring the utmost luxury to this beautiful world!

Just exhausted
I have a feeling that I am not able to do anything except dreanking coffee and chatting with friends. I am really exhausted after my today exam of Evolution of international systems in the period of 1789-1945. It was really tricky, I guess our teacher decided to take revanch after all. But it doesn't make it better... Well, I hope my grade will be better than I expect it to be:D LOL!
Cosy kitchen
When I have to go to the corridor where we have a tiny kitchen I dream about other one:) Just imagine nice and cosy, with colourful window and with roman blinds as on the picture. What was its name? Oh, yeah, "A suede look Roman Blind", still looking modern, in a striped beige/coffee colour. Chic! It would be place where I could enjoy cooking (!!!) and drinking tee or coffee with my friends.

News which my friends brought
During these days I've met many of my old friends. And it's really sad now to go back to my studies. One more thing is sad, actually. Many of my friends told me about different signs that our whole system is going to collaps. On the one hand it's quite good, as there will be political changes. But on the other... when I start thinking about our whole economy, people, parties... there are sooooo many difficulties to be overcome. So, let's be brave, creative and persistent!

The RIGHT man! Check it out online;)
I guess every girl knows at least one story when some guy was cheating on her or her friend. I know many, as it happens quite often, unfortunately. That's why I was really curious about site with title World's Largest Database Rating Abusive and Cheating Men. Well, I've checked my ex-boyfriend there, and he was not there. Good start! Then I checked randomly some other friends, but none of them is there! So maybe it's a good sign! You can check yourself! ... and good luck. NB: just keep in mind - whatever will be the result, truth is somewhere inbetween;)

More marketing ideas
As I started to write about marketing campains, I will write about my last trip experience. On the way to Belgium we stopped in Germany several times. At one the stations there was a special system which I liked especially. Why? Hmm, it's fun, easy and working. During stops many people visit WC, it's not a secret, of course. There you had to pay 50 euro cents. Not very cheap, but not really expensive either. So you pay. And you get a special ticket which is also your credit to buy sth in a nearby restaurant or bar! Bien sur, everyone is motivated 'not to loose' 50 cents and (!) spend MORE money! It's really tricky and it's really working:)))
Let's keep shopping!
Again and again, I see that people really love getting discounts and promo products! At least I do, especially when it's something I really want to buy! So recently I went to a shop in the city and bought few things for example. But what I enjoy the most is On-line shopping! And naturally with online promotions and online coupons! For example, there is one which I might use, it's snapfish promotion with free photo prints, so I can really take advantage and print lots of photos! Actually, they are quite active in promotion campains and it's cool as customers love it!

we don't need Russian oil, we have rape!
Thanks to scandal with Russian gaz and oil in the beginning of the year Belarusian governement started to look for some alternative ways to get petrol, for example. One of the solutions is to grow rape and process it so that there will be alternative petrol at the end. Hmm, it sounds interesting. I just wonder if it will really work.
3 arrested in EU corruption probe
After visit to all those EU-EC intitutions I started to follow news about them. And now something like this happens!
BusinessWeek.com
Though I could suggest that corruption exists on every level, but sometimes one wants to be an idealist, don't you think so? :)
Authorities have arrested an Italian businessman and two European Union officials in a corruption scandal affecting EU delegations across the world, Belgian justice officials said Wednesday. The suspects' names were not released.

Spring and exams
How do you create cosy house?
I had an interesting discussion yesterday. We came to the conclusion that women create atmosphere and cosiness in the house. From male point of view, women should care about curtains:) But, I think it's not the most important thing to think about. So what? Light! You really have to think twice where to put all your chandeliers and where not. Then you should think about some romantic spots, some places for reading and working, some shiny places as well. And all this you can do with the magic of light! Amazing!

Nice surprises of this spring
It was international women's day after all:) Though it seemed that people forgot. In fact they did, but it doesn't matter:)
I was going to write a long post about crazy people, about one I know which loves to copmlains, but I don't want any more.
I could also write about our teacher which was using methods of punishment from old soviet primary school times with shared responsibilities of whole group for a mistake of one person... but it's not that fun. These two fact made me a bit upset and tired. BUT!
It's all about balance and harmony. Sth you give and sth you get. Sth bad happened and then immediately there is sth good coming:))) I met by total coincidence a friend I've not seen for few years tonight in the city. And it brough me a lot of positive energy, so I can even go back to my German homework... :P
Spring, welcome back!

The Prague Tribune
It seems that I found a new source of information about Prague and Czech Republic! The Prague Tribune covers the variety of aspects: economy, IT, politics, society, fashion, architecture... So now I don't only learn Czech (it actually even more fun than I expected) but I also have a chace to get to know about Czech Republic in English.

Belarusian diplomatic service
I've read one more interesting article. It describes salaries of Belarusian diplomats. So minimal salary is $2100 in Azerbajan, Moldova, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgistan, Armenia and maximus salary have ambassadeurs of Belarus in UN (3100 EUR) and in Switzerland (same 3100 EUR), then goes UK (2950 EUR) and Austria, Belgium, France, Germany and Sweden (2850 EUR).
What is The Central European Initiative?
From the website (it doesn't support Firefox by the way) of this orgasatisation:
One of CEI’s objectives is to bring the countries of Central and Eastern Europe closer together and assist them in their preparation process for EU membership.
Actually, I was a bit confused to find out that we are members of this organisation, I hear for the first time about it's existence. So it's the tool for Belarus to cooperate with whole Europe since this country is not a member of EU and even to of CoE.
Gazprom is worried again
It's becoming more and more difficult to understand what is going on in the Gaz industry between Belarus and Russia. These days for example Gazprom is worried that they will get Beltransgas when it will be at the situation of buncrupcy. The idea behind is clear, but is it really the aim? Ok, Belpalivagaz (Beltopgaz, or maybe Beloilgaz in English?) wins as it gets gaz at lower price, but Beltransgas has lower income due to Russian and Belarusion gaz policies. So negociations are taking place at the moment... And president decree is needed, he he he. It's so funny that for Gazprom president decree is a garantee.
Bulgaria is in red and white colores!
I've read an article also about this custom and goes back to some old African traditions...
