Top Model of the World

Hmm, I am surprised to find out that a Belarusian girl got a second place in Top Model of the World in Egipt. It's nice of course, just a certain point one starts to get used to it and to expect more from Belarusian girls :D Here are some photos of Alena Aladka:

Models vs Wives

On the 14th of Nov Belarus was choosing best model for Ford SuperModel competions. The attention is very hight since in the last two competions of the Supermodel of the World Belarusian girls were taking top places.

This year it was Viktoryia Makhota, the First runner-up, some people even say that she did not get the Supermodel of the World 2007 title because of her age, she was 14 then.


Last year it was Katsiaryna Damankova, who is the Supermodel of the World 2006. So, of course, the public wants more victories.


And the winner in Belarus this year is Daria Aniskova. You can see the photoshooting here. But, what is funny , it turned out, that Belarusian men don't like our models! LOL! They are too skinny for them:)


Speaking about men's wives. There was an information action today, organised by an NGO to show that familly life is not always nice and some men beat they wives. Three girl in the wedding dresses were going around the city and giving out some matherials. They had also very colourful make up with bruises.

What can I say? I am really proud of this girl, she is only 15 and it's great. Congratulations to Viktorya Makhota!

Belarusian models

I just found this photos from November selection of Ford Models in Belarus. Background story: In 2006 Belarusian 17 yo girl Katsia Damankova won Ford world models contest (on second picture on the right), so Belarusian side decided to prepare this year and they organised selection for next contest, so at top Belarusian winner 2006 who will participate in US nest year to become Top world model also...

Week is over and week is ahead

Last week was really intensive... in the country as well as in my daily life:)

So the election campaine has started and now every one in Belarus listen, watch and read news. All of us have hope that life will be better... NGOs are really under pressure now.

Remember I wrote about a young girl from Belarus who won world model contest? So she visited tut.by and now I can publish some new pics:) Actually she is really nice and intelligent and she is only about 17 years old!

I won't be surprised if i start posting in French, I learn a lot of French these days.

Next week will be interesting and with one day off in the middle as it will be the 8th of March or women day.

Supermodel of the World

and the first one is... a girl from Belarus:) It's nice when such things happend. It's good for this particular person, that's good for promotion of the country and also it inspiring other people here:)

At the end of 2005 Kseniya Sitnik won Junior Eurovision 2005 and this year begins with the victory of Katsia Damankova as a Supermodel of teh World. Great!

P.S. If in the president elections in March 2006 was a girl, maybe the result would be more optimistic?
